Our Church History

    In May of 1983, Pastor Michael Johnson graduated from Hyles-Anderson College and felt that God was calling him to start a church in Redding, California. That vision became reality when Shasta Baptist Church held its first service in Anderson, California on August 7, 1983. Though the location of the church building has changed several times, the message that has been preached has never changed. In December 2005 we moved to our current location on Westside Road. Through God's blessing, we were able to build a brand new building to suit our needs. We are a church that is fundamentally friendly and focused on re-establishing the home and church the way God intended them to be. God has worked through our church over the past 25 years to see many people saved, baptized, and lives changed.
